In case I'm being too subtle: I've written four messages in this thread about how the important thing is XOR performance of the RAID card. The above is yet another message in a series of messages which *DOES NOT ADDRESS THAT QUESTION AT ALL*. We really don't care what it is, or who uses it, or what color it is, or any other damn thing except how fast it can perform the XOR calculations needed for RAID 5.
