The *reason* for sending a .PDF is to *avoid* problems with fonts (and 
therefore formatting).

I send stuff 600 dpi, embedding all fonts.  No problems yet.  Everytime I 
sent a Quark file, there were always problems (like them having a similar but 
not exactly the same font on the machine that interfered with mine and caused 
a world of problems...:/).
