Hi Paul I didn't know that, in fact, I don't know anything about what's inside Olimex's "required" add-on! I think there are a lot of people, who will be buying the add-on thing instead of using resistors. But I am absolutely satisfied with the lock-pick, I haven't really used the other adapters since I got this one. ;)
