Hi Jan,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I noticed you have forked OpenOCD on GitHub and you added RISC-V support:
https://github.com/JanMatCodasip/riscv-openocd ]

Do you by accident also support the GigaDevice microcontrollers with RISC-V
core?
If not - would the patches that GigaDevice sent me
(see [ https://new.embeetle.com/downloads/openocd_riscv_patch.rar |
https://new.embeetle.com/downloads/openocd_riscv_patch.rar ] )
be helpful for your fork?

Hopefully you can push your RISC-V support to the OpenOCD master branch.
That would be awesome ^_^

Kind regards,
Kristof Mulier

GigaDevice causes build trouble

Dear Kristof,

I only had a moment to look at the Jenkins build result:
[
http://build.openocd.org/job/openocd-gerrit-build/TARGET=mingw64/lastFailedBuild/console
 |
http://build.openocd.org/job/openocd-gerrit-build/TARGET=mingw64/lastFailedBuild/console
 ]

Based on the log, it appears that the build failed due to code style issues (as
checked by the [ http://checkpatch.pl/ | checkpatch.pl ] script).
You may wish to point your contact person at GigaDevice at this log so that
they can update their code accordingly (fix the code style), provided they
intend to upstream the code.

Kind regards,
Jan

Dear Developers,

I applied the patch from GigaDevice (see my earlier mail) on the
OpenOCD source code. Then I pushed to gerrit. Unfortunately,
Jenkins replied that the build failed:
[ http://openocd.zylin.com/#/c/5835/ | http://openocd.zylin.com/#/c/5835/ ]

I have no idea how to fix this, as I'm not familiar with the source
code, nor with what this patch actually does. I got this patch from
Mr. Leo Tzagkarakis (who works at GigaDevice). It is the company-
patch they use to get their RISC-V microcontrollers working with
OpenOCD.

I thought it would be great if this patch makes it to the official repo,
but my attempt failed. I hope someone more knowledgeable can help
to fix this.

Kind regards,
Kristof

PS: I've put the patch on our server. You can download it here:
