Indeed there is: http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=4885 I believe the install team acknowledges that this is a problem and have stated that this will be fixed (perhaps Dave Miner can confirm). As such, I would agree with Darren that this case seems to be going astray of the overall direction of the install architecture. -Seb
