Worthy as they are, how many developers are the alternative
distros funding?

Or to be really evil about it, what's the difference between
centralized control of the sort:  "Linus said, 'not only no, but h___ no' "
vs the sort "this is a closed ARC case"?  Either way, you can maintain
private patches (or fork) if you like...
