Well, you have to also consider: 1. Oracle is still making patch updates to OpenSolaris 2009.06. See support contract. 2. OSOL DEV 134 is available, otherwise OSOL 2009.06. 3. Some engineers have updated to the ON snv_142 kernel release. 4. ZFS a little buggy (data loss >=b134 possible under certain conditions, but very usable). Reported by Nexenta engineering. 5. There is no defined osol snv_142 consolidation defined outside of Oracle.
