I wasn't looking at prices, to be honest… I wouldn't either put that  
much into a point and shoot.
So I'd second Jared and his suggestion of looking at Panasonic Lumix  
series. They have Leica lenses, and are not too expensive (for what  
they are).

The  DMC-LX3 is supposed to be quite good, particularly the lens (but  
it's rather wide). It's  double the S2000HD though, while the DMC-TZ5  
is about the same price, has a zoom but the lens is slower.
