Hello Walter. All those checkboxes for filetypes are what you want win amp to be able to play. I usually just choose select all. From what I know standard should be fine. Also, and this is key. If jaws ever doesn't seem to be reading right odds are you have changed the skin by accident. You can only use the classic skin from what I know. You can change this easily by hitting control p for preferences and then s for skins and choose classic and hit enter. The first thing I get is a long list of file types with check boxes, I assume you can either accept them all or uncheck any file type you don't want. I also get a option to "enable Winamp agent, what is this? If someone could walk me through this I would be grateful as I don't want to accept stuff that is unnecessary and just confuses things.
