Ethernet, hands down. The USB is only there for miserable little pissant PC computers without ethernet.

I do not know, but probably not.
Yes you can but you do need to have two IP addresses available from your ISP which will be more expensive than a router. A router is a good idea anyway as it provides a firewall.
