Just got a 7500 used. It has an extra fan kicking around in the drive bay, which appears to theoretically be blowing on the processor--ie. it is there, but was not connected to a power source. The repair manual for this machine does not show a fan in this location--though the case is clearly designed for one. Has anyone ever seen a fan in this location, and if so, does it blow or suck on the processor? Since it is in there, I guess I might as well wire it up and use it--just need to know which way it should be blowing air.

I have had a small fan in the top bay. It just lays on the drive blowing down. There is another drive in the bay below.
This fan just keeps circulating air in the area.
I am going to put a fast running very heat producing Cheetah HD in there and may drill holes in the front of the case in a grill pattern.
