"No problems" is not the same thing as a tested advantage.

Well, my question to you was because I did give it a try out once, big time,
using lots of spare RAM and was not pleasantly surprised. Maybe I was not
careful enough or something? But I saw no great improvement in going "back"
in a browser. And gave it up as another "nice idea" that I could do without.
But I am always on the lookout for good advice, maybe it was the IE browser
I was using at the time, maybe Mozilla would be a different experience with
a Ram disk.

This Ram Doubler that you are fond of, how does it work? Must be better than
standard virtual memory but still hard disk based? I know it is not for me
with my set up and lots of ram, but I am curious...
