Linda, Thanks much for the info on SFC in Win2K.
BUT, the *** BIG *** question I have for you personally is - WHY did you personally switch to XP from 2K??? Are you using Home or Pro for your system operations??? After reading the surveys that TechRepublic took of many tech support, install, and other industry tech people, with the whole issue of industry/company issues of switch or not switch - many said they were staying with NT 4.0, since it was proven and stable for their company needs; staying/switching to 2K since it was much more stable then NT, did everything they needed, more secure, did not want to deal with the new licensing requirements that MS has instituted, and so forth; switching to XP since the company they worked for needed to have the latest OS from MS with all its features, both from pro and server issues. The surveys only involved those that are professional help, install, networking, and similar tech, people - did not involve home users. I think the results were MOST interesting, since there is such a wide range of responses to professional computing environment setups, both with regard to workstations/standalone system as well as servers and similar.
