Well the sound problem is not gone yet, I t just took longer for the distortion to show up.So....I un installed the Sc4000 Pci card and installed the on-board sound feature again including the EPOX 4 in 1 package. The distortion is even worse and the volume is so low I have to run the levels at MAX. And I get sound cross talk from various system activity like moving the mouse and IE-6 checking for mail. As you can see from the ME sys info, the as4000 shows up like the Via. did when the SC4000 was installed. But now the VIA on board has IRQ 4.
