If it was me, I would upgrade Quark to version 6. I didn't have much luck
operating with the OS X/Classic mode. If you can afford it, make sure you
have the latest versions of all your primary software.

 tried the blanket and that did not work either.......ha ha ha I  do not
believe it's the pdf because times when I force quit and restart the file
comes in fine.
I am running mac osx, I am also putting the file through Enfocus Pitstop pro
and the files are o.k some of the files are pdfs made by me and checked.
