Just like to add that previously the Acrobat Approval, which will allow saving PDF form with filled-in data, is probably less then $49. It's really hard to justify why spend as much money, but get less quality/features.

However, the more important point is that requiring every form user to purchase/install software just to save his filled-in form is not really the best solution. For example, a city should provide its residents a fillable, savable, and editable e-form without requiring all the residents to purchase any software. We believe it should be the form provider's responsibility to make the form more useful, not the form users.

Saving images and text using PDF-SnapShot has the added advantage that you can (as an option) save an image as a .jpg file (rather than PDF) which can be easily commented using even "Paint" that is built into Windows. . The full licensed version of PDF-SnapShot includes a JPG-2-PDF conversion tool so the jpg can be quickly converted back to PDF. Another advantage is that PDF-SnapShot is only $49
