I am playing around with V6 for just this reason. My background is in multimedia production, CD-Rom authoring (mostly Director based interactives) and streaming media production. The new file formats are very exciting for PDF as delivery vehicle for multimedia. The other neat thing is that the media can now be embededd IN the PDF and so avoids any issues of maintaining relativity and also enhances security, by raising the difficulty of media being passed along independent of the PDF. You only have to spend a few minutes to think about what can be done with a PDF containing Flash, MPEG, MP3, Windows media, as well as our old favourite Quicktime ... I will be writing my experiences up next week or two.
