By "won't embed" what do actually mean? Do you get an error message in
the log file about embedding failure due to licensing restrictions OR
does the distillation simply "succeed" but the font isn't embedded?
One source of problems with "embedding" Helvetica is that a large number
of end users don't actually have the font installed! The font is listed
on font menus because the PostScript printers they normally print to
have the font printer-resident. Acrobat itself doesn't have such a font.
Thus, when one "switches" to the "Adobe PDF" printer, suddenly Helvetica
isn't available.
