You may still want to try and get a copy of Helvetica PFM and PFB files into the font resources file. I've done that with several of our advertisers who have had similar problems. As soon as the fonts were available to Distiller (outside the PS file) they have worked. Out of curiosity, what kind of files are you producing where the PS files run into the gigabytes?
