This is the same old, same old. I took an add made in InDeign which had text on top of an image. Then I saved a Word doc from the PDF. With the print to Adobe PDF version, the image didn't appear in the Word doc. With the export to PDF version, the image appeared by itself, followed by the text. In both cases, the text fonts and styles were botched. The moral to the story...the PDF format was never intended to be a means to convert a page layout-designed document into a Word doc.
