AF lenses you currently have will AF on the newer bodies. AF lenses with
USM won't AF on older bodies, but will work fine otherwise (Same
situation as with AF-S and AF-I lenses on older Nikon AF bodies)
If AF is a deal-breaker, just don't buy the new lenses.

It is worrisome that Pentax might abandon its many users who have bought
autofocus lenses. Part of me believes that they won't. The other part of
me is still feeling outraged that Pentax abandoned those of us who
bought the D and spent a lot on CF cards.
