Yep. Returning to the theme of motorcycles, helmets that are one solid
color are safer (in the sense of making you less likely to be *in* an
accident, as opposed to providing better protection) than
multi-colored helmets because they make your head more recognizable as
a head, rather than a collection of shapes.
