Hey Deb in TX ;-)

Well, I'm not the type to make my own. I suppose someone here could help,
but I'd rather not do it for a bunch of reasons. Dave Brooks has solved my
problem. I will get a cable shortly. Once it is in my hands. I'm going to
call the other large pro store and ask them to check on the availability of
the cable. If they say they can get it within a week. I will know that
Reade's (my normal store) is to blame. You can be sure that I will go to
the store, with the cable, ask about my order, and tell them were I got this
from. I will be pleasant, I'm on a first name basis with most of them.
What I will really be trying to decide is if Reades is suitable or committed
to me as a Pentax customer. However! If I call the other store (Lindens)
and they also cannot get the cable. I will know that Pentax Canada is to
blame for the problem, and in that case, they push me towards another brand
inch by inch with terrible customer service. It's simple, the cable is
there, no doubt a few. I ordered Aug 9th, and saw the copy of the order to
Pentax Canada. Why they have failed to ship it out to my store for me, I
would be interested to know. I mean, it's there. Aliens didn't grab that
one. Why is it not in my hands now?

Anyhow, I will be happy to get my cable. I will see who is most likely to
blame. I will remember this episode. I have enough money invested in
Pentax gear to stay with Pentax for the long haul in 35mm. I don't want a
bigger, better, newer camera if they come out with one. I'll use what I
have until 35mm is too expensive or hard to use and develop. What? 10 years
from now? Something like that I'm sure. Then I will invest in a digital
system that is firmly established, unlike now. If Pentax repeatedly screws
around and still have their heads shoved up some place, I will not even
*look* at a Pentax DSLR. I will go with someone else. There are two lenses
that I really want. I will in time get these. After that, no more Pentax
glass. Because I have a feeling I will drop them in 10 years. This is why
customer service is so important. I like my stuff, and I hope Pentax will
change in respect to 'NA' from Not Available to North America. We'll just
have to wait and see. Btw, the lenses I'm after is the FA 20-25mm f/4 AL
and a new or used ~400mm manual focus.
