I used `Select All Outside' but it would not `select' those items and there was
no option to `delete'.
I had to zoom out a bit, `select all' and then start moving the selection. As
soon as Ii did this the `selection window' went VERY large and, after zooming
out a bit more, I was able to bring the bottom left corner in to view on the
screen. From that point on it was a formality.

As far as I can tell Protel 2004/AD/DXP (whatever) does not seem to like
objects on mechanical layers that are outside the window (or may be in negative
space). All my attempts where with the board at a reasonable zoom level and I
thought I would have been able to see the offending items. It was only after
that big zoom out (my pcb area on my screen was less than a 1" across) that the
objects became `relevant'

Best Regards

Edit/Select/All should select every primitive in the design. Zoom
level should be irrelevant. If you are using window selection, i.e.,
Select/Inside, yes, display window would obviously be relevant.
