[John Collier] I don’t think there is a heat death, either. I think that certain structures get frozen out, and it is also possible (in a very large universe that still has a reasonable density) that new ones could form. If the expansion is so fast that any remaining structures are pretty much isolated this would not happen. It would depend on things that Peirce was not aware of, and that we still don’t know. John
