Well, that's, of course, a problem. In the best case scenario, the search engine will recognize the patterns and provide meaningful suggestions. In the worst case scenario, it won't return anything useful.
Still, it might be worth a try. The system could send only the top ten search results. The problem is that the results should be mailed to the list so that others could tell whether they satisfy the question, but I'm afraid that would become annoying.
The truth, however, is that there is a lot of repetition in the questions that are asked here and a simple search through the archives would answer many questions directly--keeping the list a bit cleaner and easier to follow, IMO.
