        For larger files like .iso images, it makes good sense. Red Hat
uses it, Mandrake uses it, and I forsee many vendors beginning to adopt
the same protocol and methodologies in their distribution channels as
well, ranging from commercial to Free Software.

        To excerpt from a rebuttal to this thread I got from one of the
core BitTorrent developers on their development irc channel:

        "But BT does have plenty of legitimate uses, as the authors
         of Plucker will tell you. Small IP authors are often the
         victims of their own success, as anyone who's been
         Slashdotted may tell you. BitTorrent's raison d'etre is
         to help people serve legitimate information when they are
         having practical difficulties handling the load.
         Demonizing BitTorrent because of pirates is throwing a
         useful tool into the trash."
