Thank a lot guys. The init string that is set to my portmaster only works for USR modem, I changed the init string to make it work even if its not a USR Modem. Thanks again!

Don't use that as your init string. What you're doing there is retrieve the factory settings and save it as a profile every time you send that command. Just do a AT&F ATS0=1 AT&W Do this one time only and then replace your init string with "ATZ" instead.
