Hey Folks,
Just came from a meeting with some CICT folks and they are considering
recommending Linux and OpenOffice.org for DepEd schools. The problem,
though, is training and assistance. Maybe you guys can have ideas as
to
how to go about doing this and sustaining the project.
Unless they don't require them (trainors) to pass through the bidding
process which IIRC it requires at least half of the total budget of the
project should be the required total financial asset of the company, I
believe there are people who can help them train their 460,000 teachers
nationwide.
No bidding. I will make sure that what is needed is simply a MOA
between CICT, DepEd and the group that will commit to provide training
and support. I cannot, however, ensure that funds will be available but
I am sure that CICT will try to provide it -- it is quite difficult to
have training and support without paying for it unless it is only for a
short time. :)
