If I remember correctly, Michael uses Gentoo. Gentoo has a dependency problem for Samba 4. It requires app-crypt/heimdal <http://gpo.zugaina.org/app-crypt/heimdal> and dev-libs/openssl requires app-crypt/mit-krb5. There is an overlay with samba4 that can use app-crypt/mit-krb5. I masked samba 4 because samba less useful than dealing with the conflict.
