It's really hard to know what's still being made. Their website is just awful so it's really hard to know. The EdgeRouter X is listed in their store but is sold out. I see one seller on Amazon selling it but that's about it. I can't find anything on Ubiquiti's website about the Edge series of switches and routers at all, so I'm guessing they aren't made anymore. Seems like they are focusing on their Unifi line. I don't think the Edge series of routers and switches were ever managed with the Unifi controller. They just have their own built-in management consoles, which I think I prefer anyway. Not completely sure about Ubiquiti's direction. I like the AP hardware a lot, and the unifi control of that. But I'm not too keen on their dream machine routers. They are a bit locked down and simplified for my taste. I think I'd much rather get a Mikrotik router. It's at least very hackable and more or less standard Linux there and I can install my own packages on it like squidguard, customize the DNS, etc. For my own house I'm sticking with my own Centos-based router on a tiny x86 with standard iptables (or ebtables), custom bind setup, dhcp with dynamic DNS, squid, dansguardian, etc. /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
