On my system, a > "stopserver" cli command reliably shuts down SqueezeCenter. On my machine SC bounces back up on the cli command. But the system "restart" script option doesn't work well either. The sequence /etc/init.d/sqeezecenter stop; /etc/init.d/sqeezecenter start works ok, but /etc/init.d/sqeezecenter restart fails to kill correctly the server I believe. Maybe it's my machine only; I won't try to fix it since I don't need to stop the service, it runs as long as the machine is up.
