You are probably right. However, worth checking on this site: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php There are a few (smaller) ISPs that definitely don't shape the connection. The one I was with before I went LLU, and that I would recommend to anyone, was Newnet: http://www.newnet.co.uk/broadband/home.php Not the cheapest, but they absolutely do not shape or manage their service in any way - although, as you say, this is probably not your problem if all your other streaming services are working OK.
