I tried using the commands you gave, and I even tried another one that seemed more suitable to OS X (find, although I'm not sure I was using it correctly) and wasn't able to pull up anything. It said that the ones you mentioned weren't commands, and the find command didn't find mplayer... I'll give it another shot once i get back home. Thanks again for all the help.
