The mplayer executable and the directory and sub-directories which contain it show me to have read and write permission which is expected as my account is an administrative one. Other users for mplayer.exe namely "admin" and "everyone", are read only. I changed these to read and write, but this had no effect.
I don't know how to determine "ownership".
