Dear Editor; With OJ Simpson's seeming come-uppance for vigilante deeds, it is time for the Times to apologize for its reporting of the civil trial on the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron G. [?]. This was used as an opportunity to defame a self-taught forensic analyst of photographs, as a casher- in on the JFK assassination "conspiracy theories," although it is true that he is one of the few who actually made any money in doing so. Surely, that was why he was hired by the defense -- as an established expert?
If not for Judge Fujisaki's dismissal of Robert G.'s testimony on the National Enquirerer's "Bruno Magli shoe model" photos, he would have demolished this alleged evidence in court. Would that have changed the outcome of the trial? also, in this time of financial hi-jinx, it would be nice if you recovered the story about Schwarzenegger meeting with Riordan and Ken Lay at the hotel in Beverly Hills, which somehow was buried in an article about Arianna Huffington's God- am taxes! (I did not read the whole thing, but was told by a wonk at a Dem Club meeting; apparently, it might have been it's own item, on latimes.com; eh?) Dear Editor; Dang, I missed the closing ceremony. I wish to point out that the World Music Festival, as confirmed by UCLA's Peter Sellars, the first director of the first festival in 1999, and as also apparent from the last page of the schedule: this was launched as a sort of covert, millennial/triannual Dalai Lama-fest. Be that as it may, it should be noted that the DL#1 was created by the 5th Mongol Kahn, as a sort of "separation of church and state" in hte Mongol empire. Some time after that, His Holy Dudeness took the political mantle, the khanate, as well, so that the DL#14 is considered to be the god-king of the Holy Tibetan Empire or Greater Tibet, which would simply be most of China. Now, the typical Tibetan protestor will not deny that, as heard in the Commie propoganda o'er the shortwave by the DL#14's court retinue, in the movie, "Kundun," the Lamadom was essentially a feudal system, and that most of the monks were murdered during the Cultural Revolution. Or, that they & their monasteries were, simply, no longer supported by "their" serfs. This is not to say that it was not a system that worked, in a rather harsh environment, in deed!... But, note that the "director's cut" of "Kundun" was basically to remove the story that was "Seven Years in Tibet," since that involved a card-carrying Nazi mentor, as it came-out. Now, back to us under the Cheeny Administration. There is no constitutional separation of church & state, being a minority opinion of Justice Hugo Black. However, the Bill of Rights is explicitly "dysestablishmentarian," and this clause is being grotesquely viloated by the combination of Faith-based Initiatives and No Child Left Behind (come the Rapture), which was clearly designed by the wingnuts of Jesus, Mohammed etc. to create sectarian & secular charter schools, or what ever. Too bad, that neither the Biden nor the Palin campaigns have an interesting policy for education, or even space exploration, as we try to discern their meanings under financial duress. (Note that Obama's quip about guns & religion is totally uncontroversial in the various strongholds of black churches, mosques & synagogues ... didn't Sammy Davis Junior build one of those?... And, when Palin strings-out her mantra on "reforming health care," I can't help but think of the Soylent Party; recall that Teddy Roosevelt was really the first Green President, as well as an imperialist anglophile maniac, and founder of a literally Bonapartist FBI.) --sincerely, me, Write-in Candidate for Imperial Vice Presidency (against "4 more years of Cheenyism" /Palin/Biden) and School Board Membership > Another precedent I'll be looking for is the "midnight reading of the > verdict." Apparently the judge in this case couldn't wait for a normal --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Thanks for being part of "PoliticalForum" at Google Groups.
