NJ is one of the least business friendly states and also the most densely
populated. I work in the printing industry, which is slowly dying, but when
i moved back to NJ in 1994 there were at least a dozen printers within 10
miles of where I live ... now there's 2!!! The road I take to get to work
was full of car dealers (new and used), pretty much one every block, after
the meltdown there's maybe 5 left and all those empty lots are still empty
nobody opened a business on the locations. My downtown is pretty lucky, no
empty storefronts, but my old town totally twisted ... the town from my
high school years, the north side is full of empty ..stores but the
southside has had a boom and tearing down all the old and making new shops
and apartments ... I prefer the older architecture on the north side!!! The
local mall is about 1/3 empty!!!
