LOL, yeah, it's fun to see them change as they grow up. Yeah they had a parent's group but they didn't listen to much unless it came from a big donor or someone famous.
Surprisingly there were enough of us that bitched about one thing though, that they changed it. During the 2008 election they actually allowed an Obama campaign person to come to the school for a *required* convocation for those in high school. He spoke to them for 45 minutes. There was a student in the audience (9th grader) who'd been chosen from thousands of schools/kids nationwide to attend the RNC and write an article for "Y Press" (a student newspaper). When he asked for time to address the crowd, it was denied. They claimed they didn't have enough time. So the democrats were given 45 minutes and the republicans weren't given a single minute. This was the day before the "mock election" they held. I went off on that school for several things over the years, but never more than I did that day. And I also told them in 2012 that I'd go public with their indoctrination if they repeated what they'd done in 2008, lol. Amazingly they didn't do mock elections that year, nor did they allow any campaign workers in to fortify their leftloon brainwashing.
