what about restaurant owners in THEIR OWN bars?
or business owners in THEIR OWN office buildings?

once, OUTSIDE, a woman was bitching about me smoking near her OUTSIDE.
complaining and whining about HER RIGHTS with no disregard for mine.
not 10 minutes later i heard her saying her husband was laid off work
and they couldn't afford the bills. this was about six months after
200+ mom & pop businesses (including the ENTIRE 5th floor of the mall
of america) went bankrupt because of the smoking ban; her husband was
then competing with 2000+ unemployed waitresses, bartenders, and cooks
for work & wages... plus her property taxes go up, as do other taxes
to compensate for lost tax revenue from the unemployed and out of
business.

go look at what % of YOUR state's taxes are paid via ridiculously high
liquor and cigarette taxes. look at how much money restaurants were
REQUIRED to spend on ventilation BEFORE the ban. compare the typical
amount of smoke in a bar with OSHA requirements...
