He growled and moved, realizing Alex was getting too
damned close. He had to act and act now.
Julia Walker couldn't know that she had an edge in keeping
him from bringing his master. He wouldn't doubt if his master's enemies
had brought her back to keep him from succeeding. The unease and fear she
was feeling now would help him - it gave him something to use against her and to
gain her key.
He had made the mistake of not winning the key as he had
the others the last time. He would not make that same mistake
again.
His astral projection moved down the hallway... sensing
someone that had touched the darkness before and finding its
weakness.
Slowly and without being seen he moved into the woman's
bedroom and to the bed, looking at her before moving into her... slowly taking
over........
