Rachel guided the shopping cart into a check out lane and nodded for Kat to
head over to the bakery, which she had a clear sight of "Want to go check on
the cupcakes? I'll start checking out and you just give me the signal if
they're ready."
"Sure," Kat agreed and trotted back over to the bakery and waited patiently.
The baker smiled at her. "I'm just about done," she called to her as she
started boxing up the small treats.
Alex told Philip the way to the closest bakery and they pulled up outside
just about this time. She spotted Rache's car immediately. "Let's see if
we can find them." She spotted Kat in the bakery, but no Rachel. Of course
she knew the woman had to be close by, there's no way that kid would be out
of her sight. It didn't take long for them to spot her. "Rachel...," Alex
called as the pair approached her.
