"No, I'm the luckiest person alive" he said lightly kissing her. He kissed
her several more times before the door opened.

He looked to Julia right at the same moment she looked at him and said
"busted"


She ran her thumb across Nick's bottom lip before winking and turning to
listen to Philip before shaking her head with mock exasperation and teasing
him "We have got to teach you how to come up with better cover up stories.
You're no good on a midnight snack run until you do."

She looked at Kat, offering her a small, hesitant smile and to see the
girl's reaction.  Did Kat really want to talk to her or was this something
Philip or someone else had put her up to?  She wasn't going to let the
others push Kat into something she didn't want to do and was ready to tell
them that if she saw the merest hesitation in the girl's eyes.

Kat had been through enough not to be pushed into this too.
