Alex groaned, "ah come one you don't really want to embarrass  him like that do you?"   Philip thought for a moment, looked at Kat then turned back to Alex "Yup."   They had finished putting Derek to bed and Patrick stretched "Well I'm off te bed.. I suggest th' rest of ye do the same."   He leaned over and kissed Alex on the cheek, whispering "And dunnae think ye got away wi' nae eating.  I'll be by later with somethin'."   Then he straightened and ruffled Kat's hair and patted Nick on the back before peeking at the clock, calling out an old saying as he left  "Ten o'clock an' everythin's right wi' th' world."   Then so Julia heard him from whever she was, be it downstairs or already in her and Nick's room, he called out "Good night, Julia.  Welcome home!"
