Alex grinned, "oh you're gonna love this," she said handing him the card.
"Well, at least I think you're going to."  She handed him the card.
"Usually, kidnapping isn't involved in these things," she joked, "but you
know Julia she just had to be different."

Philip accepted the card, carefully considering the type of card it was -
one of those expensive paper deals - and read the front of it, only to
choke/laugh and look at Alex "She isnae doin' it now, i' she??"

That woke him up quick -- he wasn't even dressed for a proper, even eloped,
wedding and he knew there was no way they would dare get married without him
doing the service.

He got up and went to the phone, dialing Julia's cellphone number "Tha'
woman better nae be - hello, Julia? Jus' read yer note --"
