Alyssa did shut her eyes hugging Ginny tightly. Her small body tensed up as
flashes began striking her mind with blinding force. And they were pushed
back, just like the others replaced with the horrible waves of pain. She
didn't want to make anyone mad at her. She wanted to be good and not crazy.
That's all.
Derek tensed with her, his tone low but seeing the small lines of pain
around her eyes and mouth "Don't fight it, Alyssa, it's alright to see it, I
promise. The pain will start to go away if you just let it happen."
He tried not to let the reaction of what was happening show in his face -
that someone had obviously told her or had ignored what was happening to her
and now was causing her physical pain because she had been shown to do
anything else was wrong.
"Is there a reason why you don't want to let yourself see it?" he asked,
hoping she'd answer and in effect give him an idea to a solution.
