Alyssa did shut her eyes hugging Ginny tightly. Her small body tensed up as
flashes began striking her mind with blinding force. And they were pushed
back, just like the others replaced with the horrible waves of pain. She
didn't want to make anyone mad at her. She wanted to be good and not crazy.
That's all.
Alex returned to the office and knelt down by the couch. She gazed at the
child and then at Derek. She had to fight to keep a smile from touching her
lips as she watching him hovering over his daughter. And she had no doubts
that the girl was indeed his. Tests were necessary of course, but that
didnt' change gut instincts.
