I have heard of this problem and there have been reports of it, however I
have never seen it and in the tens of 1400s I have handled just about all of
them were 16MB, those that weren't I put up to 16 with no problem.

I feel it is something to be aware of - like some stacked RAM cards not
working together but not to see it as a reason not to try the upgrade.

Again, Never seen one that didn't fit, interesting to hear of some one with
a problem.

Focus or Newer are the Ethernet manufacturers IIRC.
