Surry Power Station does not currently use the warning capabilities for
alarming dosimeters. The current opinion is one that this additional alarm
could be confusing to the general workforce. I do not believe that we use the
rate alarm latching feature, rate alarms reset once condition is exited.

Subject: Powernet: ED warning alarms and latching rate alarm

Fermi 2 would like feed back from our industry peers on the following:

1. Do you use the dose and/or rate alarm warnings available with the
DMC2000/DMC 3000?

2. If you do, why and what issues have you had?

3. If you don't, why not?

4. Do you use the rate alarm latching feature?

5. What access control software do you use and what version is it?

6. Please provide a contact for additional information.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
