THE WEEKEND NEWSLETTER
AMERICA'S NEWSCHANNEL MSNBC
Saturday February 15, 2003- Sunday February 16, 2003
SATURDAY night is "CAUGHT ON TAPE" night on MSNBC. Even though most people
know cameras are all over these days, brazen, often ridiculous crimes are captured on
camera. The fun gets underway at 8pm ET.
On SUNDAY we PREMIERE two documentaries on Saddam, Iraq and Nuclear Weapons.
At 8pm ET we'll bring you NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER: BAGHDAD ON THE BRINK.
Already, two invasions are underway in Baghdad. >From one side, an army of UN
inspectors has moved in with advanced technology designed to sniff out chemical,
biological and nuclear weapons. Their goal: to verify Iraq's claim to have no such
weapons, or find a smoking gun that justifies a war. On the other side, an
international media mob has descended on the city to report the action. In an age of
sophisticated media management, these journalists are not just covering the story;
some feel they are being used as vehicles to press the agendas of both countries.
Meanwhile, life on the ground in Iraq continues much as it has for the last decade of
undeclared war and sanctions. Average Iraqis suspect war is coming and feel there is
little they can do to stop it. But the big questions remain. Will they embrace the
invaders or stand and fight with Saddam? How many will die if the bombing resumes?
What will become of their country?
At 10pm ET on SUNDAY we PREMIERE MSNBC REPORTS: SADDAM AND THE BOMB. For
months now, President Bush has accused Saddam Hussein of seeking, possessing and using
weapons of mass destruction. But when it comes to Saddam's pursuit of the ultimate
weapon, the story is not 100 percent clear. In this documentary we'll examine what we
know and how we know it. A lot of the information you may never have heard. You can
listen to what the people with first-hand knowledge have to say... and just the Iraqi
threat for yourself.
Enjoy the weekend. Here is a look at the full documentary schedule for
Saturday and Sunday on MSNBC.

WEEKEND MAGAZINE: STRIPPER LAWYER/INTERNET COUPLE
Two segments for you:
Stripper Lawyer: A wonderful family. A beautiful home. A brilliant career and plenty
of money. You might think that if you had all those things, there's no way you'd ever
risk them. The man you'll meet might have thought that once. Then one day he visited
a strip club... and, in time, found that -he- was the one stripped... of everything he
cared about...right down to his dignity. And yet, as Edie Magnus found, he still
wears... something of a smile.
Internet Couple: It's your sanctuary from the outside world... the most private place
in your life...unless you're the couple in this story. They installed nearly 3-dozen
cameras in their home... and put their lives on display, over the internet. Every
breath... every bite... every move they made. But what began as a daring and very
personal experiment became the toughest test their relationship ever faced. Perhaps
to no one's surprise but their own, the couple's life began to unravel, while
thousands of people watched. John Hockenberry visited their -very- public housing.
