I need to send pix via an ibook and a mobile whilst flying in a helicopter. Does anyone know whether or not there is a celing above which a mobile will or will not work (2k feet for instance) ? If anyone has anyother tips about this task I am open to advice.......

My understanding is that it is illegal to use a mobile in the air, either as a passenger or a pilot.
